User domains

In the context of DATEX II, a user domain refers to a specific group or category of users who interact with and utilize the DATEX II standard for exchanging traffic and travel-related information. The user domains provide a better overview, making it easier to find specific (information) needs for the various user groups within the DATEX II community. The different user domains are EV Charging, Parking, SRTI and UVARs. The other user domains will be further developed. It is expected that the user domains will be complete by the fall of 2023. 

The DATEX II user domain ”EV Charging” is intended for various stakeholders involved in the electric vehicle charging ecosystem. By providing a standardized framework for data exchange, the EV Charging user domain within DATEX II enables seamless interoperability and integration among these stakeholders, facilitating efficient management, operation, and utilization of electric vehicle charging infrastructure. The primary target group for the EV Charging user domain includes:

·       Charging Point Operators (CPOs)

·       Electric Vehicle Service Providers (EVSPs)

·       Electric Vehicle Manufacturers

·       Mobility Service Providers

·       Public Authorities and Infrastructure Managers

By facilitating the exchange of parking-related information, the DATEX II Parking user domain supports improved parking management, efficient utilization of parking spaces, and enhanced services for both parking operators and users. The user domain targets the following key groups:

·       Parking Service Providers

·       Municipalities and City Authorities

·       Navigation and Traffic Management Systems

·       Payment and Billing Service Providers

The primary target group for the UVARs user domain includes:
