At the DATEX II User Forum 2024, participants noted valuable insights into challenges, solutions and key recommendations for adopting DATEX II in the different EU Member States. These insights culminated in the creation of the “Declaration of Bucharest,” a non-binding guidance document aimed at shaping the future of DATEX II. This declaration represents a collective vision for progress and serves as a key to unlocking the future potential of DATEX II.
Recommendations
The declaration itself comprises 12 carefully crafted recommended actions, formulated during the User Forum from workshop outcomes, string board session and other program highlights. These recommendations articulate the strategic direction for DATEX II’s development over the coming years and encapsulate the Forum’s collaborative efforts. The Secretary General of Romania’s Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure presented the recommendations at the end of the Forum, underscoring their importance and the collective ambition behind them.
