We are proud to announce the successful implementation of DATEX II version 3 in Slovenia, a significant achievement as part of the CROCODILE project!
Advancing Cross-Border Travel with DATEX II Integration
The National Traffic Management Centre (Ministry of Infrastructure) of Slovenia has implemented DATEX II v3 and the upgrades are detailed below. Although these deployments already occurred in December 2022 within the Crocodile 3 project, they are continually being updated.
Within the CROCODILE project, public authorities, road administrations and traffic information service providers from 10 European Member States (Austria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Italy, Poland, Romania, and Slovenia), along with Bulgaria, Croatia, and 3 associated Member States (including Slovakia), have committed to establishing and operating a data exchange infrastructure based on DATEX II. This infrastructure facilitates the exchange of data and information between all involved stakeholders, including private partners, with the goal of providing harmonized cross-border traveller information services along the entire corridor.
Main achievements
Upgrade of National Access Point (NAP)
- Implementation and integration of DATEX II v3 into the Core of NAP
- Implementation of DATEX II v3 profiles for:
- Road cameras, Traffic counters, Traffic events, Rest areas, Traffic events TISA SRTI, Traffic Management Plans, Traffic Regulations, Travel times, Variable Message Signs (VMS) data, Weather data, Wind data.
- Creation of Level-B extension for traffic cameras
- Publication of DATEX II v3 datasets based on new profiles:
- 14 new datasets in 2 languages
- Publication of TPEG TFP dataset
- Upgrade of SRTI service with support for DATEX II v3
