The release of the first candidate for the DATEX II v2.0 specifications set is now available. This set of specifications forms the basis of the current submission to CEN for standardization of the principal elements of DATEX II. As part of the CEN standardization process involving commenting and voting rounds the model is subject to change, hence the terminology of “Release Candidate 1” has been chosen to qualify this release.
The model has been substantially revised from v1.0 based on feedback from a wide ranging set of stakeholders. In addition the specification set includes a revised set of documentation providing a clearer definition and explanation of the DATEX II modelling methodology.
